Testosterone is a hormone of the androgen category. In men, it is secreted in the testes and in women it is found in the ovaries.Healthy men have about 3% testosterone levels in the blood whereas in women the level is 1%. It plays a major role in developing and maintaining the female sex characteristics in women. Any kind of imbalance in the levels of testosterone can disturb the sexual and mental health of the woman. Usually, the testosterone levels drop in women by 70% between the ages of 30 and 60.
