Pelvic Inflammatory disease (PID) is normally known as the infection of the utreus, fallopian tubes and other reproductive organs. This is a very serious condition which is caused due to sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea or chlamydia etc.

In this condition the infection damages the tissues in and around the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries. This condition if not treated on time can result in some serious consequences which includes ectopic pregnancy, chronic pain in pelvic region, infertility and formation of abscesses and many more.
