Menopause in any women brings about many changes. Nocturnal accomplice or night sweats are one of them. Night sweats is the condition in which you suddenly wakeup in the middle of the night with your heart beating rapidly and your bed sheet drenched with sweat.

The main cause for this condition to arise is the fluctuating levels of the estrogen. Due to this, the hypothalamus which regulates the temperature of the body gets confused. In the state of confusion it first increases the body temperature and then to regulate the same it dilates all the blood vessels.

Thus, alot of sweating takes place. The end result of this condition is received as chilly, drenched body with rapid heartbeat and an anxiety sensation.
