Breastfeeding is beneficial for both both the mother as well as the mother. Breastfeeding provides all the necessary nutrition which it requires to grow and develop. The milk of breast is not only nutritious but it is also easily digestible too. It also has the antibodies which can protect the baby from all kinds of infection.
Advantages Of Breastfeeding For The Baby:
- Breast milk has the antibodies which can protect the baby from ear infections, diarrhea, allergies and vomiting.
- As the breast milk is easily digestible so there are less chances of constipation.
- Stools of breastfed babies smells mildly.
- The babies who are breastfed they are at a less risk of juvenile diabetes and chorn’s disease
- The IQ levels of the breastfed babies are higher than those who are not breastfed.
- The baby girls who feed ed with the breast milk have less chances of breast cancer.
- Now, The most important advantage is that breastfeeding enhances the bond between the mother and the baby.
Advantages Of Breastfeeding For The Mother:
- If the mother starts breastfeeding just after the delivery then it results in the contraction of the uterus which decreases the chances of the postpartum hemorrhage.
- The uterus of the breastfeeding mother shrinks back to the pre – pregnancy size more easily and quickly.
- Calories are burnt to produce the milk. Approximately 20 calories are spent in producing one ounce of the milk.
- Those women who feed their babies for at least 6 months have less chances for developing pre – menopausal breast cancer.
- Women who breastfeed their children have less chances of cervical cancer and osteoporosis
- Fertility can be delayed due to breastfeeding.
