Menstrual cramps or Dysmenorrhea is a chemical problem. It caused because every month the lining of the women’s uterine produces some chemicals which are known as Prostaglandin.
This chemical helps in the contraction of the uterine muscles and also expels out the tissues and fluids During the menstrual period.In case, the levels of prostaglandin increases then it results in uterine muscle contractions.
Home Remedies For Menstrual Cramps:
Menstrual cramps are faced by most of the ladies at some point of the their life. There are few easy remedies which can be followed to get rid of them. These remedies are:
- Do Regular Exercise: Regular exercise is very necessary as it increases the release of endorphins hormone which is responsible for curing the body pains. So, it can easily overcome the cramps too.
- Hot Water Bottle Or Hot Towel Pads: Placing the hot water bottle on the paining stomach or towels dipped in hot water are placed on the painful part of the stomach will help in curing it. Towels can be placed in the microwave and be heated and then placed on the stomach to get effective results.
- Drink Alot Of Water: Make sure that you do not dehydrate yourself. So, drink a lot of water and juices. to avoid dehydration.
- Aspirin: Intake of painful tablets like Aspirin must be done in excessive pain.
- Yoga Stretching: Stretching of the body is very essential during your periods. This stretching not only gives you relive from the pain but also provides the required relaxation too.
- Drink Hot Drinks: Intake of hot drinks like tea, coffee, or hot milk will greatly help in reducing the pain.
- Ginger, Mint, Cinnamon, Parsley all have proved to be very effective for treating the menstrual cramps. Intake of any of them in boiling water will help in reducing the cramps effectively.
