Causes Of Postmenopausal Osteoporosis:
Osteoporosis is cased due to the reduction in bone mass of the bone. Actually the bone mass is at its peak when a women is in her twenties. It is on after this span of life that reduction in bone mass takes place. This happen because the bone cannot prepare it back with the same pace as it is absorbed by the body cells.
It found greatly in Postmenopausal women because the hormone called ‘estrogen’ which is responsible for maintaining calcium and other necessary minerals for the bone declines sharply after menopause. As the result, there is a massive bone mass, nearly 3% per year for a period of 5-7 years.
Some other reasons are smoking, excessive alcohol consumption; genetic inheritance can be one of the reasons for this disease.
