Fish is rich in vitamins, minerals and proteins. Fish, specially the oily variety is something which we should definitely include in our diet as it has some nutrients that are unavailable in other food items like meat and vegetables. However, there are certain fish you have to avoid when you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Important: Even if you trying for baby it is better you avoid these fish. Even your children should keep away from these fish when they are infants as they have a tendency to get food poisoning at this age.

Baked and poached or grilled are healthier options of having fish. You can put some peas in the bake dish to make it more nutritious.
