We live in a world that is filled with factors that promotes cancer. Starting from our sedentary lifestyle, we have artificial sweeteners, over exposure to sun, tobacco, poor eating etc. The less important factors are radiation, family history, viruses and pollution.
However, it is not that we should leave all efforts losing all our hopes and indulge in our bad habits. We can make a difference by making certain changes in our life to reduce the risk of cancer.

Here are some quick tips that will help you to lead a better life by lowering your cancer risk:
- Things To Have: Have five portions of fruits and vegetables daily that can reduce your cancer risk by 20%. Have a diet that has grains; choose a plant-based diet. Try to have organic vegetables and fruits.
- Things NOT To Have: Avoid fatty foods like fast food, highly processed food. Tobacco and alcohol are definitely to be banished from your life forever. Cutting tobacco out of your life would mean 30-40% reduction in cancer risk. Salty foods are also out from the list.
- Things To Do: Exercise, (five days a week will lower cancer risk by 40%) so that you maintain a healthy weight. Drink 8 glasses of water every day.
- Things NOT To Do: Do not choose to live a sedentary life style. Avoid over exposure to sun.
