Every part of the body should be well taken care of. Nail care is no less. Well- shaped nails, clean and neat, give a well-groomed look. Much effort goes into nail care. Let us see.
Tips on Nail Care
- Healthy nails are pink and transparent due to the blood flowing under them
- In case one uses a nail polish, remove it for a day or so every week to let the nails breath
- Massage the warm castor oil or coconut oil for shiny nails
- Clean the nails with hydrogen peroxide and make them white in appearance
- In case one does not like using nail polish, then use a dry soap or a lemon peel for similar results
- Before manicure, dip the nails in warm water with one tablespoon of lemon juice
- Place the fingertips in half lemon and twist it back and forth, so that the cuticles and nails get cleaned up
- Nails should be well shaped. File them properly
- Keep the hands soft. The skin around the nails should be soft. Use a moisturizer liberally
- Use gloves while doing household chores
- Use a tin opener to open tins
- Use a pencil to operate the dial
- Use gardening gloves
- Avoid strong chemicals
- Manicure them regularly. Seek professional advice and help for this
- Cracked nail polish does not look good
- Have a diet consisting of fruits and raw vegetables
- Drink plenty of water and fruit juices. Fresh carrot juice rich in calcium and phosphorous will strengthen the nails
