Women can be successful leaders. They have entered into areas which are traditionally considered to be male domain. Well-versed in the intricacies of leadership, they are working as managers and senior executives. Women have become successful presidents and prime ministers. What are the qualities that make them successful as leaders?

  • Decisive. They are firm in their convictions and stand by their beliefs
  • Successful women, particularly in business and politics, have taken risks

  • Women have proved that they are competent enough to shoulder responsibilities
  • Only personal issues, such as family responsibilities, deter them from shouldering greater responsibilities
  • Assertion of women’s rights has been a major issue
  • Organization leadership qualities in women are high enough for them to manage a given situation well

Women do possess several qualities that help them to be successful leaders. They have also surpassed men in many ways on account of these qualities. They are determined, hardworking and sincere. They have many odds to face, both at home front as well as workplace. Yet, they have successfully carved a niche for themselves.
